چکیده

Lysosome-rich particles prepared from adult rat testes but not from liver released large amounts of various lysosomal enzymes into the supernatant medium when they were incubated at 37” at physiological PH. Evidence was presented that the thermally sensitive lysosomes were present in advanced germinal cells but not in spermatogonia. Lysosomal rich particles isolated from regressed testes, obtained from rats which previously had been hypophysectomized or made cryptorchid, were as temperature-insensitive as those from liver. The hypothesis was advanced that the increased release of hydrolytic enzymes at 37” from lysosomes in certain germinal epithelial cells may be intimately associated with the cellular degeneration and cessation of spermatogenesis which occur in cryptorchid testes.

Investigation of the Protective Effects of Amlodipine on the Structure and Function of Testicular Tissue following Experimental Unilateral Cryptorchidism in Rats

Objective- Cryptorchidism, common birth defect of the male genital tract, is one of the causes of fertility problems. The elevation of tissue temperature following of cryptorchidism could induce oxidative stress which influences the cellular and tissue degeneration. Amlodipine is a third-generation of calcium channel blockers which has antioxidant activity. The aim of this stud...

P-98: Ultrastructural Study of Basement Membrane of Seminiferous Tubules in Adult Diabetic Rats with Spermatogenic Alterations

Background: The complications of diabetes are the major problems that occur in diabetic patients. It has been reported that, insulin insufficiency and the impairment of regulatory action of this hormone on Leydig and Sertoli cells have an important role in testicular alterations. Testicular disorders and change in normal spermatogenesis is one of the consequences of diabetes. This study was des...

Zinc Therapy Improves Deleterious Effects of Experimental Unilateral Cryptorchidism: Histopathological Evaluation of Testes

Objective- Perturbation of the normal process of testicular descent results in the condition of cryptorchidism. Spermatogenesis is generally impaired in cryptorchid testes because of high intratesticular temperature. It seems that the main mechanisms underlying the process of spermatozoa demise is apoptosis by overgeneration of free radicals. So, the aim of the present study was to investigate ...

P-41: Effect of GnRH on Vincristine-Induced Spermatogenic Defects in Basal Layer

Background: Male factors, mainly spermatogenesis disorder, are responsible for 20-30% of infertility occurred in different societies. One of the known causes of spermatogenesis disorder is chemotherapy in patients with cancer. The side effect of chemotherapic agents may last from 10 years up to the end of the life. Since dividing cells are mainly affected by anticancer drugs, the aim of the pre...

P-64: Germinal Cells Intracytoplasmic Carbohydrate,Lipid and Lipase levels Alter in Longtime Varicocele-Induced Rats

Background: Despite several studies many questions remain regarding how varicocele develops its adverse effect on testicular tissue. Spermatogenesis cell lineage needs carbohydrates as a main source of energy for cell division. Any disruption in glucose transporting system in seminiferous tubules results in remarkable decrease in germinal cells biological function. Therefore present study was c...
